In 1993, Dave led Manhattan Broadcasting's efforts on informing the community during the infamous '93 flood. He's served on boards of directors for more than a dozen organizations, including the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce, Manhattan Convention and Visitors Bureau, Shepherd's Crossing, and the Johnson Cancer Research Center at KSU.
Dave served as the chair of the Manhattan Riley County Sesquicentennial (150th anniversary) from 2002-2005. The Manhattan Chamber of Commerce honored him as "Volunteer of the Year" in 2006 for his efforts.
In 2010, Dave was elected to serve as a member of the Riley County Commission. He served 4 years in that capacity.
Today you can hear Dave on NewsRadio KMAN, he is the host of the KMAN Morning Show.
Dave is also a family man. He is the father of two beautiful children, Casey and Noah.
Since losing his lovely wife, Elena, to breast cancer in 2006, Dave has been active in promoting breast cancer awareness and research.
